Afrofuturism- The future starts with YOU! Are you ready to make the future? Got creative ideas in your brain and at your fingertips? Do you love comics, superheros, movies, or stories? Join Assemble to build an Afrofuturistic YOUTopia on a distant planet. Build a city inspired by African art, music, and technology, then bring your visions to life by painting, building, making, and playing! Construct a diorama of your future city. Design and sew futuristic fashion like clothes that light up. Imagine an epic story where you are the main character. Use real tools to make your dreams real for others to see them, too. Work with your peers to discover how YOU can make an impact, and help design the world that YOU want to live in!
Afrofuturism Grades 5-9 Summer Camp schedule is Monday June 20th through Friday June 24th from 9 AM to 4 PM.
8 AM- Pre-Care Sign in/ Drop off
9 AM- Sign in/ Drop off
10 AM- Snack
12 PM- Lunch / Outside Time
2 PM- Snack
4 PM- Sign out/ Pick up
5 PM- Post Care Sign out/ Pick up
Participants must be entering grades 5 to 9.
